Most corporate event venues in NYC have one bar. Maybe two if you’re lucky. We built The Ivory Peacock with four state-of-the-art bars across 8,000 square feet because we’ve seen what happens when 200 finance professionals arrive for a happy hour and there’s nowhere for half of them to get a drink. When we opened in fall 2022 at 38 W 26th St in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, we designed the space around a simple principle: your guests shouldn’t spend their networking time standing in line. Four bars across two levels mean your team from Chelsea, Tribeca, Nomad, or the financial district can move naturally between spaces, find the conversations they need, and actually enjoy the event you planned. Whether you’re hosting 8 executives or 350 employees, the layout scales without feeling empty or overcrowded.
The Ivory Peacock in Manhattan’s Flatiron District is a corporate event venue with four bars spread across two levels, allowing up to 350 guests to network without long waits. Its flexible layout, private lounges, and French-Japanese menu make it ideal for corporate dinners, happy hours, and retreats of any size.
Why Four Bars Change How Corporate Events Work
The difference between one bar and four bars isn’t just the speed of service. It’s about how people distribute themselves across your event. With one bar, everyone clusters in the same area. With four bars spread across two distinct levels, your guests have reasons to explore the space, which means better networking and fewer bottlenecks.
How the Four Bars Are Positioned Across Two Levels
Upstairs on the main floor, three bars serve different purposes. The Main Bar sits under antique chandeliers with Louis XV giltwood mirrors and velvet seating, accommodating 60 seated or 100 standing. The Emerald Bar is our 18-seat semi-circular marble bar with a raw bar, curtained off when you need privacy for VIP clients or executives. It seats 22 or fits 50 standing. The Perches, Perch West, and Perch East are semi-private spaces with rail barriers and historic windows overlooking the Flatiron corridor. Each perch seats 10 or holds 25 standing. In warmer months, they take on an indoor-outdoor feel.
Combined, these three bars on the main floor can seat 140 or host 300 standing for a cocktail reception. Downstairs, our fourth bar anchors Ploume, a speakeasy-style lounge that seats 60 or accommodates 160 standing. Many corporate clients use Ploume for seated dinners after cocktails upstairs, or for breakout sessions during company retreats.
French and Japanese Cuisine Designed for Cocktail Events
At The Ivory Peacock, our culinary program draws from French and Japanese traditions, inspired by the ocean. Shareable plates and raw bar selections balance bold flavors with comforting familiarity. You’ll choose from tiered menu options: passed hors d’oeuvres, hearty snacks, or full meal style platters. For seated corporate dinners, we work with you on courses that make sense for your timeline and guest count. Bespoke menus are standard, and dietary accommodations are addressed during planning.
Common Configurations for Corporate Events
Most corporate happy hours use the main floor with all three bars active. Guests drift between The Perches for focused conversations and the Main Bar for larger networking. For corporate dinners, clients typically start with cocktails upstairs, move everyone to Ploume for a seated meal, then return to the main floor for after dinner networking.
Company retreats and multi-session events often use these configurations:
- Ploume for morning breakout sessions, while the main floor serves coffee and breakfast bites
- Main floor for keynote presentations with all three bars active during breaks
- Emerald Bar is curtained off for executive meetings, while the rest of the venue hosts team activities
- Ploume for working lunches while the main floor remains available for informal networking
- Full building buyout for day-long retreats with sessions rotating between both levels
Location Between Chelsea, Nomad, and the Financial District
We’re at 38 W 26th St, between Broadway and 6th Ave. Your team coming from the financial district, Chelsea, Tribeca, or Nomad can walk or take direct transit. The historic windows in The Perches overlook the Flatiron corridor and work well for branded team photos.
Conclusion
A corporate event venue with four bars solves a logistics problem most planners don’t realize they have until their event is bottlenecked. We built The Ivory Peacock to handle 8 to 350 guests without the friction that comes from poor bar placement or insufficient service points.
If you want to see how four bars function across two levels, understand the flow between spaces, and taste what a finance district caliber beverage program looks like, we’re here to show you.

FAQs
Why does having four bars matter for corporate events?
Four bars eliminate service bottlenecks and distribute guests naturally across the space. The three bars upstairs serve 300 standing, while Ploume downstairs handles 160 standing or 60 seated. Your team networks instead of waiting in line.
Can we host a seated dinner and cocktail reception?
Yes. Most clients start with cocktails on the main floor, move to Ploume for a seated dinner, then return upstairs for networking. We map the flow based on your guest count and timeline.
Is the venue available for company retreats?
Yes. We host company retreats and can structure Ploume for breakout sessions while the main floor stays active for networking. Contact us to discuss multi-session event needs.
What’s included in a full buyout?
A full buyout gives you the entire building, all four bars, both levels, and exclusive access. You can seat 140 or host 350 standing across the combined spaces.
